Walk with me??

Mike & I are doing he Step Out for Diabetes walk in Grand Rapids this year. We formed a team – the Diabetes Busters. We need people to join us on the walk to raise money and awareness for Diabetes. Mike has it, my dad has it, and Mike’s dad was also diagnosed in the last month. I am willing to bet that someone you know has it, too.

We are really hoping to make this a fun walk, so we’d love for anyone who can make it to join us!! This is not a race, it’s a fun, leisurely walk. Here’s the info about this year’s walk in GR:

Available Route(s): 2 miles
Registration Opens: 8:00 a.m.
Event Start Time: 9:00 a.m.

On Saturday, October 13, Step Out with us to Fight Diabetes. This year’s walk will be a combination of the Lakeshore and Grand Rapids Walks. Our goal is to make a large presence and impact in West Michigan. The walk will be a 2-mile walk beginning at Rosa Park Circle in downtown Grand Rapids. The walk will take you through various streets of interest throughout the downtown Grand Rapids area. Prior to and following the walk, we will have a variety of booths for you to gather more information about diabetes. In addition, we want to make this family friendly, so bring your children and your pets. There will be something for everyone at this year’s walk!
