I actually got some decent photos! Can you believe it? In the second one he’s cleaning his face to get the carrot off. So cute.

I also want to show off a couple of stuffies. These cuties are both for sale at Fuzzy Paws Knits for $5 each. First, Arturo. He likes reading, chocolate chip cookies, and rainy days. Dislikes clowns, brussels sprouts, and math. Then we have Miss Mimi. Mimi likes flowers, cheesecke, and shopping. She dislikes bees, spinach, and homework. There are more pics of both of them in the shop.

I have my big annual show coming up in less than 2 weeks, and I am taking every single finished knit that I have in hopes of selling EVERYTHING. If there is something that you’ve seen here that you are interested in, or if there is something at Fuzzy Paws Knits that you think you might want, now is the time! I am hoping to return from the show with nothing, so if you don’t let me know you want something soon, it could be gone. Take a look here too, lots of this stuff is still available.

Mike woke me up around 5 this morning (he was getting ready for bed) because he noticed that the wall underneath our bedroom window was all wet. He pulled off the trim to get a closer look, and there is a gap between the drywall and the window frame. Which is so not cool. So as soon as it dries, we will have to try to seal it with caulk or something, but for now, we have a washcloth wedged in there to wick the moisture. Then later this morning, Mike noticed that the living room ceiling’s paint is all bubbly and weird in one corner. So there is more water getting in!! Ugggh. Between the woodpeckers and these leaks, owning a home is severly trying my patience this week. Not to mention the leaves piling up in the backyard which means there is definitely raking happening in my near future.

Otherwise, there isn’t too much going on. Mike is off today so we are having a lunch date. Which I really need to go get dressed for. I don’t think my Good Luck Bear PJs will make a very good impression at any lunch establishment. I also have some knitted stuff I really want to get pics of to list on Etsy and show off here, but I need some decent sunlight to get good photos, so clearly that will have to wait. OK, off to get de-Care Beared. More later.

So things are a little different around here. With the help of John Vargo, my blog is now powered by WordPress, which means I have lots of cool gadgets and features I can use. I don’t know how any of them work yet though, since this is my first post. I’ll get there in a jiffy, I’m sure. I know things look a little weird and unfamiliar, but trust me, it’s the same old Trish. But now with SpellCheck, so watch out! So welcome to Trish’s World Version Eleventy! All the posts from my previous blog are under the category “Vintage” in case you are interested in reading the oldies but still goodies.

I also wanted to let my peeps know that I reopened my Etsy store, peep it out at Fuzzy Paws Knits . I got the PayPal issues as sorted out as they are going to get, so I am back in bidness. Don’t forget to hit me up for snazzy holiday gifts or warm winter gear for yourself. I have totally been rocking my handknit hat and scarf this week. Not sure if you noticed, but it’s freezing!

Yesterday afternoon, I was in my office working like a good little slave. I heard this weird noise in the closet, like a knocking with an intermittent fluttery sort of noise. So I listened intently and waited for it to stop. It went on for like 20 minutes. I made The George come in here and listen and he heard it to. He is very brave so he actually went outside to see what was causing the ruckus while I peeked out the window cowardly to make sure that if he was savagely attacked by an animal I could dial 911. It turns out it was a stupid woodpecker and the damn thing pecked a hole in the siding through to the insulation! Stupid bird. I heard him at my closet wall a couple of more times yesterday and I banged on the wall and he took off. So that is my plan, bang the wall to ward off peckers.

Mike worked late last night, so I knew he wouldn’t be until around 7. I decided to use my free time to go to the grocery store. I went through my mental checklist – doors locked, keys, list, pen, bags. Oops, I didn’t have the bags. They weren’t where I expected, so I had to hunt around. While I was hunting, I put my keys on the counter. I found the bags and headed out, locking the door to the garage behind me. Oops. As soon as the door shut, I knew. My keys were still on the counter. Rats! I checked all the doors and they were indeed locked. What a big dummy. Mike wouldn’t be home for at least a couple of hours, George was at work and wouldn’t be back for hours. I did the only thing I could. I called my mommy, and she came over right away and let me use her key. But for about half an hour, I had a blast hanging out in the garage. What a big stupid face. I definitely learned a valuable lesson here, and I sincerely hope that this won’t happen again. But I know myself pretty well, so I am sure it will.

My custom portraits of Nemo & Buffy arrived yesterday! They are AMAZING. I am so happy with them I want to cry. I am going out to look for frames as soon as I have the chance! Everytime I look at them, they make me smile, which is the mark of awesome artwork.

Can’t remember if I told the story of these portraits or not, but here is the short version. When I was packing up the yarnery to move, I found some really cool shimmery watercolor paints that I bought a few years back. I hadn’t used them in ages, and I decided to sell them on Etsy. They were purchased by a girl in California who bought them for her daughters. I took a peek through their store. These 2 little girls (10 & 7) do paintings and drawings and sell their work on Etsy. They use some of the money to buy supplies, but the rest goes to St. Jude’s. How awesome is that??

I realized that I had lots of other crafty types of supplies I was going to get rid off, and my original plan was Goodwill. I thought these 2 charitable chicas might benefit more from my old stuff, so I emailed their mom and made the offer. I ended up sending them a HUGE box of paper, markers, stickers, and so much more I can’t even name it all. They were super happy, and offered to make custom portaits for me. So I sent them pictures of Nemo of Buffy, and asked them to create pictures of my kitties as best friends, since we were hoping all the extra space in our new house might make that actually happen. We’re still working on it, but things are far better than at the apartment.

So, here is Nemo & Buffy as best friends by 7 year old artist Nea:

I love the shimmery hearts (you have to click for the larger version to see the shimmer), and Nea totally got the size difference between these 2 perfect! The colors are also great – my favorites! This one is going in my office.

Here is 10 year old Onyx’s interpretation:

I love that the sun and moon are also cats here, and Nemo’s colors are perfect. I also like the way Buffy is laying – she really lays like that so it’s great. This one is going in the living room.

These two girls are so talented! Please take a look at their shop – their work is great. And you too can have your own custom portrait! Visit TresLocas!!

It really hasn’t been the greatest couple of days. Work is sort of stressing me out lately, and that kind of sucks, but on top of that, I had to close my Etsy store yesterday. I am having bank & Paypal issues, and I really can’t run the shop without Paypal. I am working for a solution, but I have no idea how long it will take to find one, or if there is a good solution at all. This is really sad for me. I have no idea what to do with all the knit stuff I make now. I’m thinking I will have to tone down production actually. Which is honestly for the best because I’m in my early thirties (really early) and I am pretty sure that if I continue at my current pace I’ll have blown out my shoulders, arms, hands and back by the time forty comes around. So I’m really sad, but I’m hopeful. I’m pretty sure things will work out for the best and I’ll bounce back one way or another. Also, to my peeps who are reading this – if there is anything I’ve posted here that you are interested in, let me know. I am selling off stuff for deeply discounted “friend prices”, so hit me up. At this point, I’d like to just make a little coin so I can buy some new yarn on occasion and keep the craft alive.

Last night Mike & I were on the patio, and guess who rolled up? You guessed right – Harold! He came earlier than usual so the lighting was really good, AND he was nomming his carrots in the grass right off the patio, so Mike was able to take some PRIMO Harold photos. Click for larger, you will not be sorry. Behold:

Well I’m off, gotta finish up some work and then elliptical, make/eat dinner, and then BOWLING. Wish me luck.

Ok, first things first. My hubby is my hero – he found a dude that broke up with his girlfriend and is no longer interested in going to see Michael Buble on Sunday night. He sold us great tickets (section 125ish I think) for face value!! So we are going to see Michael-freaking-Buble in 2 days, and I’m so excited I want to slam dance. Ok, maybe not because I’d prolly break my hip or something. But total yay, we are going to the show!! My hubby rules all hubbies. He is the hubby king.

The Office was awesome last night!! When Jim bent down at the end and was like “Pam….will you….wait for me while I tie my shoe?” That was probably the funniest moment I’ve seen from any episode yet. Completely awesome. I can’t wait until the real thing happens.

I also got my Prince notebook today, and it’s possibly the greatest thing I’ve ever seen. I mean, check it out – you know you’re jealous:

This journal has purple paper inside (natch) and was custom made just for me by the amazing and talented stellajames. Scope her out for yourself!! I SO have my eye on the Madonna notebook she has listed. I almost bought it today, but I have to save my loot for a Buble concert shirt. Anyway, her stuff is wicked awesome. Tell your friends.

So that’s it for me. It’s been a really nice Friday so far, and I’m looking forward to the weekend. And Michael-freaking-Buble too of course. I can’t believe that we’re going!!
